The Lantern Festival
     The Lantern Festival began in order to raise international awareness of the charming culture found in Taiwan. For the past 20 years, that is exactly what it has done. Traditionally, the festival has been celebrated by carrying hand lanterns. However, the Taiwan Lantern Festival adds a high-tech element to this traditional custom. From to the amazing theme lantern displays to folk arts and performances, the festival has become a favorite of locals and visitors alike.
